Welcome to The Seaplane and the Mermaid Treasure Hunt! By participating in this treasure hunt, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before participating.
Eligibility
The treasure hunt is open to participants ages 11 and under. Participants must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate. The treasure hunt is intended to be a fun, family-friendly activity. Adult supervision is recommended for young children.
How to Participate
To complete the treasure hunt:
Follow the clues provided in The Seaplane and the Mermaid book. Read the book, Find the clues, Locate each required treasure,
and Take photos of your finds. Submit your completed hunt through this website or email us your name, address, and photos of your finds and the book at info@theseaplaneandmermaid.com.
Entries must be complete to be eligible for a prize.
Prize Eligibility
Participants who successfully complete the treasure hunt and submit all required materials may be eligible to receive a prize. Prizes are available while supplies last and are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to substitute a prize with another item of equal or greater value if necessary. Prizes have no cash value and may not be transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.
Submission Requirements
When submitting your treasure hunt entry, you may be asked to provide:
Your name, Email address, Mailing address (for prize fulfillment), Photos of completed treasure hunt items, Photo of your book, and if possible photos of your adventures. By submitting your entry, you confirm that all information provided is accurate.
Family-Friendly Participation
The treasure hunt is designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and observation.
Participants should, Respect private property, Follow all local laws and regulations, Stay in safe, public, and permitted areas, and Never place themselves in dangerous situations while searching for clues. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children during participation.
Use of Submitted Photos
If you submit photos as part of your treasure hunt entry, they will only be used to verify completion of the treasure hunt unless you separately give us permission to feature your photos on our website or social media. Granting permission is completely voluntary and is not required to receive a prize.
Privacy
Any personal information collected during the treasure hunt will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and will only be used for administering the treasure hunt, communicating with participants, and fulfilling prizes.
Changes or Cancellation
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the treasure hunt, update the rules, or change available prizes at any time without prior notice if circumstances require.
Limitation of Liability
Participation in the treasure hunt is at your own risk. The Seaplane and the Mermaid, its author, publisher, and affiliates are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, property damage, technical issues, lost submissions, shipping delays, or other circumstances arising from participation in the treasure hunt or the use of any prize.
Acceptance of These Terms
By participating in the treasure hunt, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not participate.
